§ 6.02. Charter Review.

  • At least once every ten (10) years, the council shall appoint a Committee to review the City Charter and to make recommendations to the City Council for changes to the provisions of the City Charter.

    The Council shall advertise within the City of the creation of the Charter Review Committee and solicit residents to serve thereon.

    The Council will appoint five (5) members to this committee. Each of the five (5) members of City Council shall appoint one (1) member to the committee from any registered elector of the City of Crystal River, with the consent of at least 3 other members of the City Council. These five (5) appointments shall constitute the Charter Review Committee.

    The committee shall be formed on or before March 1 st and shall make it recommendations to council in sixty (60) days of its appointment.
